Carers' Forum
The Medway Carers. forum was set up in 2005.
Any parent or family carer of a person with a learning disability who is over the age of 14 in Medway can attend.
We meet every three months, during the evening, usually in Ambley Green, Gillingham.
Activities are arranged for the cared for person if required to enable as many carers to attend as possible.
The meetings are an opportunity to share information and experiences, and for the family carers on the Valuing Medway People Partnership Board to report on the work of the Board.
From April 2006, the Forum will elect the family carers members to the Partnership Board.
The meetings are an opportunity to gather the views of parents and carers in Medway, in order to improve support
