On 24th June 2009 the Government said it wants lots more people with learning disabilities to have real jobs.
They want the jobs to be at least 16 hours per week
They have written a plan to make that happen.
The plan is called ‘Valuing employment now - real jobs for people with learning disabilities'.

Supporting people with autism - Have your say
The Department of Health is making a plan about better support adults with autistic spectrum conditions to live full and inclusive lives with access to the right care and support. They want to know what you think about the plan.
The consultation considers five key themes for delivering change - health, social inclusion, choice and control, awareness raising and training, and access to training and employment.
The consultation will run from 29 April 2009 to 15 September 2009.
